Overview

A Georgia honeymoon begins here: six days arranged for two people alone, with no group departures and no crowded schedule. It suits a couple who want a warm old city, a wide valley and the sea inside a single week. You start with two nights in Tbilisi, between the Old Town, the sulphur bath quarter and the Narikala cable car over the Mtkvari river. Then you head east over the Gombori pass to Telavi and on to Sighnaghi, the walled town above the Alazani plain, where you sleep inside the walls and see both sunset and sunrise from the same balcony. Finally you cross the country west to Batumi for two nights on the Black Sea, between the boulevard and the botanical garden at Green Cape. The rhythm is deliberate: late mornings, one long drive in the whole programme, free evenings. An Arabic-speaking driver is not a luxury here; the winding Kakheti roads, the narrow lanes of Sighnaghi and parking in Batumi need someone who knows them and speaks your language, so your privacy stays intact without a guide beside you all day. Trip Itinerary

  1. اليوم 1: Day One | Arrival in Tbilisi and a first evening in the Old Town

You are met at Tbilisi International Airport and driven privately to your hotel, with time to rest first, since most Gulf flights land around dawn. In the late afternoon you walk down to Rike Park on the bank of the Mtkvari, then ride the cable car four minutes over the river up to Narikala fortress, where the Old Town spreads below with its tiled roofs and the domes of the sulphur baths. You come down on foot into the Abanotubani quarter and Chardin street, and cross the Bridge of Peace once its glass panels are lit. Dinner at a halal restaurant near the hotel, then an early night.

  2. اليوم 2: Day Two | The Gombori pass, Telavi and a night inside the walls of Sighnaghi

After breakfast you head east over the Gombori pass, a mountain road that winds through thick forest and reaches Telavi in about two hours, far finer than the long motorway. In Telavi you visit Batonis Tsikhe, the residence of King Erekle II, and the centuries-old plane tree in the centre of town. After lunch the vineyard road runs south to Sighnaghi, where you check into a hotel inside the walls. Before sunset you walk the stone rampart that rings the town for four kilometres with twenty-three towers, the plain open below you all the way to the Caucasus. Dinner is private, on the terrace.

  3. اليوم 3: Day Three | Sunrise over Alazani, Bodbe monastery and back to Tbilisi

The morning is yours alone: sunrise over the Alazani plain from your own balcony, and a late unhurried breakfast. Then you visit Bodbe monastery, two kilometres from town, with its long cypress avenue leading to the church and its view down the valley; early morning is its real hour, before the coaches arrive. A short photo session follows among the coloured lanes of Sighnaghi and their carved wooden balconies. In the afternoon you return to Tbilisi in around two hours, with free time on Rustaveli Avenue, then ride the funicular up Mtatsminda to see the city lit from its highest point.

  4. اليوم 4: Day Four | Crossing the country west to Batumi

An early start after breakfast on the highway that cuts across Georgia from east to west: about 370 kilometres covered in five and a half hours with two planned breaks. The first stop is near Surami for hot local bread, then a lunch break in Kutaisi with a pass by the golden Colchis fountain on the central square. West of Kutaisi the landscape changes completely: tea hills, dense trees and humidity coming off the sea. You reach Batumi before sunset and check into a hotel close to the boulevard, then take an evening walk along the seafront and have dinner overlooking the port.

  5. اليوم 5: Day Five | Green Cape, the Argo cable car and sunset at Ali and Nino

A full day in Batumi at a slow pace. In the morning you go to the botanical garden at Green Cape, nine kilometres north of the city, terraced down a slope directly above the Black Sea, with sections of East Asian and South American plants and shaded paths that end at viewing terraces over the bay. Back for lunch and a rest at the hotel. Late afternoon brings the Argo cable car up Anuria hill, then Piazza square and the Alphabet Tower. At seven in the evening the moving statue of Ali and Nino turns on the seafront, the best moment for sunset photographs.

  6. اليوم 6: Day Six | A last morning by the sea, then departure

A late breakfast and a final stretch of time on the boulevard or on the hotel beach, depending on your flight. If you leave in the evening there is a short visit to Batumi central market for mountain honey, Georgian spices and tea grown in the Adjara hills, plus the lanes of the old quarter behind the port. Then bags are packed and you are driven privately to Batumi International Airport, no more than six kilometres from the centre, or driven back overland to Tbilisi if you fly out of the capital. Your driver stays with you to the departure gate.
