Georgia for Palestinians and the Arabs of the Interior: Arabic-Speaking Driver, No Prepayment

2026-09-22

Georgia is a close and easy destination for Palestinians and the Arabs of the interior (the Arabs of 48): about two and a half hours from Ben Gurion airport to Tbilisi, an Arabic-speaking driver waiting in the arrivals hall with your name on a sign, and halal food in every city. At Hawa Georgia we work on one rule with every guest: no prepayment, you pay on arrival in dollars or lari, with no deposit before you land. This page is for families from Nazareth, Haifa, Umm al-Fahm, Tayibe, Rahat, Jerusalem, Ramallah and Nablus planning a Georgia trip from Tel Aviv.

Why Georgia suits the Arabs of the interior and Palestinian families

The flight is short enough that children do not tire: about two and a half hours from Ben Gurion to Tbilisi, and in summer also to Batumi on the Black Sea. Israeli passport holders enter Georgia visa-free, and an Arabic-speaking driver who understands your customs stays with you for the whole trip. The atmosphere is calm, modest and family-friendly: nobody looks twice at a hijab, the cities are safe for an evening walk, and prices are quoted in dollars or lari. Many guests travel as three generations, and the family packages in Georgia Family Tour Packages are built for that.

Passports and visas before you book anything

  • Israeli passport: entry to Georgia without a visa; a valid passport is enough.
  • Palestinian Authority passport: please check the visa requirements with the Georgian embassy before buying flights. We cannot promise visa-free entry, and we will point you to what is needed.

Arriving at Tbilisi airport: a driver with your name on a sign

We track your flight number ourselves; if the plane is late, the driver waits. He stands in the arrivals hall after customs with a sign carrying the family name, greets you in Arabic and takes you to a clean, air-conditioned car. You receive a SIM card with a week of open internet, and the office WhatsApp line stays open throughout the trip. Infant seats and pushchairs are free on request. The airport is about 17 km from the centre; the same applies at Batumi and Kutaisi airports. Full details are in Tbilisi Airport Transfer with an Arabic-Speaking Driver (Kutaisi and Batumi too).

Halal food and a family atmosphere with an Arabic-speaking driver in Georgia

Halal restaurants are common in Tbilisi and Batumi and along the Kazbegi road; the driver knows them and books a family table when needed. Elsewhere he knows the places serving fish and Georgian vegetarian dishes. There are mosques in Tbilisi and Batumi for Friday prayers; see Halal Food in Georgia: Tbilisi and Batumi Restaurant Guide. The driver is not a licensed tour guide, but he runs the whole day: he drives, translates in the restaurant and the shop, and waits at every stop.

What to do in four, seven or ten days

Four days: Tbilisi and Kazbegi

One day for old Tbilisi and the cable car to Narikala fortress; a full day on the Caucasus road to Kazbegi (Stepantsminda), about 155 km and three hours away, where Gergeti Trinity Church stands at about 2,170 m; and a day for Mtskheta and shopping. The programme is Georgia 4 Day Tour - Tbilisi and the Caucasus.

Seven days: the capital, the mountains and the sea

Three nights in Tbilisi with a day in Kazbegi, then the road to Batumi (about 370 km, five and a half to six hours) via Borjomi or Kutaisi, and three nights on the Black Sea: that is Georgia 7 Day Tour - Tbilisi, Kazbegi and Batumi. Families wanting daily pool time have Georgia Family Tour 7 Days.

Ten days, or a summer trip straight to Batumi

Ten days add Kutaisi, the Prometheus cave and the Martvili canyon. Anyone landing at Batumi in summer will find Batumi 5 Day Tour right for the beach and the nearby villages. In winter, Borjomi and Bakuriani, at about 1,700 m and about 160 km from Tbilisi, give children safe snow and simple sledging. What a private driver in Georgia costs: per car, not per person

A car with driver in Georgia is priced per day for the whole car, fixed all year (only the hotel total is higher in high season):

CarPassengersLarge bagsPrice per day
Sedanup to 3385 USD
Minivanup to 68100 USD
Vanup to 810140 USD
Sprinterup to 2020240 USD

A family of five with two children needs the minivan. First example: four days in Tbilisi and Kazbegi, driver only: 4 x 100 = 400 USD, paid day by day at the start of each tour. Second example: seven days with hotels: the minivan is 700 USD, reduced to 665 USD with the 5% discount from seven days; at a 4-star hotel from our approved hotels, four guests count (the three adults and the child of seven) while the child under five stays free, and four people and more take two rooms, so the whole stay is 1,188 USD for two rooms over six nights with breakfast (seven days means six nights); the hotel is chosen at confirmation by availability. Total: 1,853 USD for the whole family, paid on arrival.

The price includes the driver for eight to ten hours a day, fuel, tolls, parking, the driver's lodging, the airport meet and greet and departure transfer, the SIM card and child seats; not flights, meals, entrance tickets or insurance. The package builder on every package page prices your trip in USD, with shekels shown for comparison only. The full terms are on the terms page; the complete guide is Arabic-Speaking Driver in Georgia: Price per Car, No Deposit.

No prepayment: how you pay and what if your plans change

We ask for no deposit and no transfer before you travel. Driver only: you pay each day at the start of the tour. Car with hotels: the full amount on arrival. Payment is cash in US dollars or Georgian lari; a card payment is a bank transfer to the company's official account. We do not accept shekels, so exchange before you travel or in Tbilisi; the site shows shekels for comparison only. Cancellation is free with 48 hours' notice for a driver-only booking and 72 hours when hotels are booked.

How the booking works on WhatsApp

You send the number of people, the children's ages, the arrival date and the length of stay, in Arabic or English, and we reply with a written day-by-day programme and the final price. When it suits you, you send the name, arrival date and flight number, and we confirm the booking with a message repeating that name, date and flight number. Hawa Georgia Travel is licensed in Tbilisi (registration 415120808), and everything we agree reaches you in writing.
