Overview
This five day Georgia water park family tour is written from the children's point of view rather than a guidebook's: every day has water in it, and every day ends early. Five days and four nights, two in Tbilisi and two in Batumi, with no churches, no long museums and no roadside photo stops. We spend a full day at the covered water park in Tbilisi with its slides, wave pool and toddler section, swim at Turtle Lake and Lisi Lake, and break the long westward drive with a dinosaur stop at Sataplia park near Kutaisi, where real footprints are preserved in the rock beside a short cave. In Batumi there is a safe pebble beach, family bikes on the boulevard, a Ferris wheel and the dolphin shows in 6 May Park. Days start at ten and end before seven. With an Arabic-speaking driver you explain your child's needs once: the seats are fitted and the towels are already in the boot. Trip Itinerary
اليوم 1: Day One | Arrival and an evening of fountains
Pick-up from Tbilisi airport in a family car with the child seats already fitted, then hotel check-in with time to rest and swim in the hotel pool after the flight. Late afternoon we go out for one short outing only: Rike Park on the bank of the Mtkvari, with its dancing fountain and open play area, then a walk across the Peace Bridge, glass-roofed and fully lit after dark. An early dinner nearby and back to the hotel before eight so the children sleep early.
اليوم 2: Day Two | Water park day in Tbilisi
The longest day in the water. We arrive at the covered water park in Tbilisi as it opens: slides at several heights, a wave pool and a separate shallow area for small children, and because it is roofed the weather cannot cancel your day. We leave in the afternoon and rest, then late in the day ride the short cable car up from Vake Park to Turtle Lake for a calm sit-down and a walk around the water. Back to the hotel in the evening and a second night in Tbilisi.
اليوم 3: Day Three | Sataplia dinosaurs, then the Black Sea
We leave Tbilisi at ten heading west. The stop the family is waiting for is Sataplia park near Kutaisi: dinosaur footprints preserved in rock for millions of years, life-size models among the trees, a short cave children walk through easily, and a glass viewing platform hanging over the valley. We eat in Kutaisi, then continue the 145 kilometres to Batumi, arriving before sunset so you see the Black Sea from the balcony. Check-in and the night in Batumi.
اليوم 4: Day Four | Batumi beach and the dolphins
A morning on Batumi's pebble beach, with no sand to stick to clothes and clear water, and umbrellas and loungers along the boulevard. After lunch we hire family bikes and small quad cycles on the seven kilometre boulevard path beside the sea. Late afternoon brings the dolphin show at 6 May Park, which also holds a small lake and a compact zoo. In the evening the waterfront Ferris wheel and the moving Ali and Nino statue at sunset.
اليوم 5: Day Five | Country water and departure
One last water day north of Batumi: the Makhuntseti waterfall, where children wade into the cold pool beneath it, the old stone Queen Tamar bridge over the river, and village cafes on the bank serving boiled corn and honey. On the way back we pass the Botanical Garden at Green Cape if time allows, then a wash and a change of clothes for the children at the hotel before checkout, and transfer to Batumi airport or the drive to Tbilisi, depending on your booking.
