Borjomi is the town of springs and the park: mineral water drunk at the source, a cable car above the valley, warm pools in the forest, and a short road to Bakuriani. The programmes here make it the rest stop in the middle of the trip: five days with Bakuriani, three days with Tbilisi, a family week, and the ten- and fourteen-day programmes.
It is about two and a half hours from Tbilisi in the private car, and the Arabic-speaking driver knows where to park near the park and where the halal lunch is. A hotel in the park or by the river is optional, and the price covers the whole car with all its costs.
