Georgia visa for UAE residents: the 90-day rule and the three mistakes
For Arab residents of the UAE the rule at the time of writing is: a holder of a valid GCC residence permit enters visa-free for up to 90 days in any 180-day period, whatever their passport, provided the permit is valid on entry and shown at the border. That means the Emirates ID and the residence in the passport or the digital residence, in the original, not a phone photo. The three mistakes: a residence that expired days before the trip, one still under renewal, and the original card left at home; neither we nor the airline can help. Without a valid residence, apply for the e-visa on evisa.gov.ge. In mixed-nationality families each passport, including each child's, is checked on its own.
Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah to Tbilisi: flights and no time difference
Direct flights from Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah to Tbilisi take about 3 hours 15 minutes to 3 hours 30 minutes, in summer on some days also to Batumi and Kutaisi. Both countries sit on UTC+4, so a Thursday-to-Sunday break costs no sleep. The best dates for UAE holidays
When Dubai sits at 41 to 45 degrees in August, Tbilisi is at about 31 and dry, Batumi at 27 to 28 and Kazbegi at 18 to 22. Where to stay: Tbilisi as the base, sea or mountains by season
We do not name hotels. Tbilisi alone serves a short break; a summer week splits the nights with Batumi, about 370 km and 5.5 to 6 hours away, so plan three nights there; in winter Gudauri suits skiers and Bakuriani, at about 1,700 m, families.
